My First hiatus

Well then,

It has been a while. But hey, first hiatus of this blog, yay!! It had to happen at one point, right?

During the last few weeks, I moved to a new place, living on my own for the first time. I was really excited to take this step in my life, and I am really happy I took the leap. It is a lot of responsibility, and living alone in London is obviously not cheap, but I am really glad I made it.

I finally meditated again for the first time in a while as well, and dear has it felt so nice and calming and soothing!

I think I am back to wanting to post on a weekly basis again. I ran out of inspiration a month ago and did not think of what I could talk about specifically on here, although, as you can read from my previous posts, there are many things I want to share on this platform.

I am really happy to say I have been part of a feature film that shot at the beginning of this month, and it has felt extraordinary to do what I love again with a cast of other people who were just as eager to get back in a rehearsal room and create and perform. We all took a lateral test as well before the rehearsals to make sure we would keep the environment as Covid-secure as possible. It was such a lovely atmosphere to be a part of, and I am very grateful for this experience after the year the performing industry has gone through! It feels like we are finally getting back as a whole industry, and it feels salvatory. There was a point last year when I doubted theatres would ever open again, as they threatened to go bankrupt because of the lack of support from the government. I am really happy to see a light at the end of this journey.

I am also really excited to get my Covid vaccine. I know there are diverging opinions on the topic, but personally, I cannot wait to be able to travel again in a safe way, visit my family and my newborn nephew whilst making sure I am no health threat to them.

I will keep this post short, as it is more of a “I’m back!” post than anything else.

I hope you will enjoy the next step of this journey with me,

Sending you all lots of virtual hugs and love,

Clara xx
